Rossie Ochil Estate provides a serene summer getaway nestled in the picturesque Perthshire hills, just 12 miles from Perth, 33 miles from Dundee, and 37 miles from Edinburgh. It’s the ideal spot to explore these vibrant cities and then retreat to your tranquil holiday home for a relaxing end to your day.
We have availability in our different styles of properties ranging from our luxury 1 bedroom lodges (Partridge Lodge and Pheasant Lodge) to our spacious 3 and 4 bedroom cottages to our traditional estate home with up to 8 bedrooms.
Balmeadowside Country Lodges and Cottages provide a charming holiday destination on a working farm, featuring breathtaking views, tranquil surroundings, and excellent on-site walks. Balmeadowside serves as an excellent base for exploring Fife and its nearby areas. With numerous attractions and activities to enjoy, you’ll appreciate returning to your property at the end of the day to unwind in your private hot tub overlooking the Fife countryside.
If Balmeadowside sounds like the ideal spot for your summer holiday, we recommend booking soon, as it is one of our most popular locations and tends to fill up quickly during the summer months!
If you seek a more secluded spot with the convenience of walking into town for lunch or dinner, look no further than Auchendoon at Conifers! Nestled in the walled garden behind Conifer Lodges, Auchendoon boasts just 8 properties, making it perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or friends planning a Scottish staycation.
Our luxury 1 and 2 bedroom lodges provide light and spacious accommodation with super king bedrooms, while our 1 and 2 bedroom cottages offer the added luxury of a wood-burning stove… because, after all, you are in Scotland!
If you love the location of Auchendoon at Conifers but prefer a different style of lodge, Conifer Lodges is sure to have something that suits you. Many of our Bluebell Lodges, which sleep 2, and Birch Lodges, which sleep 4, have recently been refurbished and are receiving excellent feedback from our guests. The Lord Galloway 3 and 4 bedroom lodges offer spacious accommodation for larger groups, featuring large enclosed decking areas, and our Lady Galloway Lodges are currently being fitted with wood-burning stoves. For a family-friendly option, consider our Squirrel Lodges with bunk beds or our refurbished Conifer Lodges.
No matter which lodge you choose, we’re confident you’ll have a fantastic summer holiday in Newton Stewart, with plenty of activities in the area, from bike trails in Galloway Forest to visits to local beaches and fun family outings. You can find more information about things to do in Dumfries & Galloway via our blog.
How about a trip to the Scottish Highlands? Kiltarlity Lodges is perfectly situated for summer adventures, whether you’re searching for Nessie at Loch Ness, exploring stunning landscapes on walking trails like Glen Affric, or simply enjoying an ice cream in charming villages like Fort Augustus.
Nestled among mature silver birch trees, our lodges and cottages at Kiltarlity Lodges offer a home-from-home atmosphere with options to suit various needs. For a more traditional experience, try our Breckland Lodges with wood-burning stoves. If you prefer, many of our other properties feature electric hot tubs. Whichever you choose, you’ll be able to fully embrace the tranquil setting while relaxing in warmth.
If you’re planning a getaway with extended family and friends, one of our larger properties will be perfect for your summer holiday.
Greenmyre Farmhouse near Kirriemuir is almost fully booked, with only limited availability in August. However, just down the road, we have our newest property set to be completed in time for the summer holidays. Little Kenny Farmhouse, located on a working farm with views over the Angus countryside, can sleep up to 12 guests. While we’re still adding the finishing touches, you can learn more about the property on our website. We’re confident this farmhouse will become a favorite among our guests!
We also offer the fabulous Vicarsford Farmhouse near St Andrews, which sleeps up to 10. This farmhouse provides stunning views over the Fife countryside and is ideally located for trips to local beaches like Tentsmuir or St Andrews. Additionally, it’s only 8.5 miles from Dundee.
One of our most popular locations, Drumfork Estate, is already booking up steadily for July and August. However, we still have some availability, so we recommend reserving your spot soon if you want to escape to the countryside for a relaxing summer holiday!
Drumfork Estate is set in a stunning location, surrounded by unspoiled views. Many guests choose to stay on-site for the duration of their visit, spending their time exploring the estate and feeding the deer, llamas, and pygmy goats. Additionally, Drumfork is ideally situated for exploring quaint Scottish villages and the renowned Cateran Trail.
Gather your family and friends in Rose Cottage, which sleeps 8, and create lasting memories this summer. Or, sneak away with your loved one for a romantic stay in one of our 1-bedroom lodges! Our 2-bedroom cottages are perfect for families or couples, and The Stables even offers the bonus of a covered hot tub – ideal for the unpredictable Scottish summers.
