The Cocoabean Factory

Become a chocolatier in a 35 – 45 minute interactive experience, where you will make and decorate three chocolatey creations that are yours to keep, all assisted by the fantastic workshop team.

 

Salmon & Sea Trout Fishing on the River Cree

Salmon and sea trout can be taken in the lower section of the river, which has some good fly fishing water.

 

Bruce’s Stone, Loch Trool

From the car park on the north shore of Loch Trool, it’s just a short easy stroll to Bruce’s Stone, which stands on a wonderful vantage point overlooking the waters of the loch to the rolling hills beyond. It commemorates Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland, and the Battle of Trool in 1307.

 

Wild Goat Park

The Wild Goat Park aims to recreate a natural environment where they have plenty of space to roam.

If you don’t see them, then head over to the Red Deer Range, the goats move around a lot during the day.

10th to 16th May

Walkfest offers almost 30 routes over 7 days, with transport and guides included, as well as a programme of evening social events.

 

Kitchen Coos & Ewes

Tours designed to help you get close to the Highland cattle from the safety and comfort of a purpose built trailer – it’s basically a farmer-led Highland cow safari! The farm tour trailer means you can experience a working Scottish farm and meet the Highlanders without even the need for wellies!

 

Kirroughtree Visitor Centre

Relax in the visitor centre, enjoy the view and fuel up for the trails. Wander to the Wild Watch Hide to spot red squirrels and birds, or meander to Bruntis Loch. There’s adventure play, mountain bike trails and quiet forest roads for gentle family cycles.
