Making Your Booking
We are flexible with arrival days at Solid Luxury allowing you to book your holiday from any day of the week.
We require a non-refundable 30% deposit to secure your booking with the balance due a month prior to arrival.
If your booking is for a holiday within the month then we do require full payment at the time of booking.
There is a secure link on the invoice at the bottom of your confirmation email where you can pay by card. There are no additional fees if you choose to pay by credit card. If you have any difficulties, please contact us.

All of our larger properties have refundable security deposits
- Properties sleeping 6 & 8 = £250
- Properties sleeping 10 and above = £500
Our security deposits are taken as a pre-authorised payment.
A pre-authorised payment means the money will not come out of your account however we will be able to access the funds should there be any damages to the property.
Once you have checked out and our housekeeping staff have confirmed there are no breakages or damages, your security deposit will voided whereupon the monies will be released back to you. You will not see a transaction on your account as we do not physically withdraw the money from you account.

We also advise that you take out travel insurance to cover your holiday.
There must be at least one capable and responsible adult over the age of 21 in every accommodation unit.
Unless expressly agreed in advance by management, no group bookings are accepted where all party members are under 25 years of age.
Yes. All bookings made for our larger properties or multiple properties are subject to our Group Terms and there will be a refundable security deposit added to your booking.
Group and single sex bookings are welcome with the understanding that from 10pm we ask guests to respect the need for privacy and quiet by other guests. The locations are not suitable for stag and hen groups looking to play loud music and use our facilities for parties. We do not normally take bookings where more than half the party is aged 17-25. If this is the case please call us on 0333 210 1055 prior to making the booking in order that we may discuss your requirements further.
We have a 2 night minimum stay on our smaller properties and a 3 night minimum stay on our larger properties (3 and 7 night minimums are in place during summer).
On occasion there may be a 1 night break naturally occurs in our calendar where we will then make a 1 night special offer available. You will find these offers on the Special Offers section of our website.
We only allow dogs at Solid Luxury and most of our properties are dog friendly at an additional cost. You will find on each property page how many dogs are permitted in that property varying from 1 to 3.
Additional costs for dogs are; 1 dog = £30, 2 dogs = £45, 3 dogs = £60
Our dog free lodges are; Badger Lodge / Mountain Ash Lodge / Birch Plus Lodge 19 / Bluebell Lodge 9 / Lady Galloway Lodge 30
When you have paid your non-refundable deposit, we will email your booking confirmation. Please check your junk mail and make our address safe as we will send all correspondence via email.
From the 3rd January to 30th March 2025 we are offering 4 nights for the price of 3 and 3 nights for the price of 2 on certain properties. This offer is valid on bookings made from Monday 9th December 2024 and discounts cannot be added to existing bookings made before this date.
About Your Property
NOTE: We are currently unable to offer early arrival or late departure on any of our properties as we have to ensure the safety of all of our guests and require the full cleaning time. Thank you for your patience and we hope to be able to offer early arrivals late departures again in the future.
Arrival is any time from 4pm
- Early arrival, 2pm, can be purchased for £20 where available
Departure is before 10am
- Late departure, 12 noon, can be purchased for £20 where available
For our properties sleeping 6 and above we will not be able make the decision on whether you can have early arrival or late departure until the week of your stay

All but six of our hot tubs are open; perfect for star gazing!
The only covered hot tubs are at Mill House and The Stables at Drumfork Estate, and Breckland Lodge 1, Breckland Lodge 2, Breckland Lodge 3, and Breckland Lodge 4 at Kiltarlity Lodges.
Electric Hot Tubs – On each departure all hot tubs are drained, cleaned and water replenished prior to each arrival. Although we will endeavour to have your tub ready on or within 4 hours of a 4pm arrival, if your property is a changeover then this may mean that your hot tub will not be ready for use until later on in the evening of arrival or until the morning after arrival.
If you find your hot tub not to be up to optimum temperature (38 degrees) please keep the insulated cover on to allow the tub to achieve the desired temperature quicker.
Wood Burning Hot Tubs – On each departure all hot tubs are drained and cleaned. These hot tubs are not hot for arrival and it is up to you, as the guest, to fill your tub with water and then build and light the fire to your hot tub. Filling your hot tub will take approx. 45 minutes and heating your hot tub can take around 1 1/2 to 2 hours (depending on outside temperatures). Instructions for use can be found in your welcome book.
Some of the larger properties have BBQ’s to hire which can be added as an extra to your booking, these will be left out with coal, firelighters and matches.
The smaller properties all have a BBQ stand that can be used with a disposable BBQ. You are welcome to bring disposable BBQs or these can also be added to your booking as an optional extra, prior to your stay,
BBQ’s should never be used directly on deckings or outdoor furniture.
At Solid Luxury you can arrive at your property knowing that there will be no hidden costs.
All electricity is included in your price. Bed linen is included, and beds will be made up for arrival.
There is also no extra charge for the heating of your hot tub.
There will be 1 set of towels for each guest (hand towel & bath towel) supplied.
All of our accommodation is self catering and you can find a list of the equipment in each lodge on the lodge description page, however all kitchens have an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge.
We will also send you a handy ‘What to Pack’ list once you have booked your stay.
The following will also be provided in your lodge; dish towels, dish cloth and sponge, oven gloves, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, kitchen utensils / pots and pans, crockery and glasses, salt and pepper, dustpan and brush, torch (this will be plugged in). There will also be a starter pack of tea, coffee and sugar.
We try to ensure that you will find all of the basic items which you require for a self catering trip but if there is anything specific that you know that you will definitely require perhaps you should check with ourselves before your stay.
Many of our guests plan ahead and have their shopping delivered to their lodge. If you wish to do this then please make sure it is delivered when you are at the lodge, we cannot accept responsibility for your grocery delivery.
Each lodge will have at least 1 toilet roll per bathroom. If you are staying for longer periods of time you will need to bring more as we do not have an onsite shop.
You will receive an email 7 days prior to arrival with information on key collection.
We have free Wi-Fi in all of our properties and you will find the password in your welcome book. Please note that we cannot guarantee the signal strength or quality. Bookings should not be made if they are wholly reliant upon the uninterrupted provision of Wi-Fi.
We do not have charging points at any of our locations for electric cars. We cannot provide extension leads as cables create a health and safety issue, therefore we do not recommend charging cars at your lodge.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If our properties are forced to close by the government then we can move your booking to a later date (prices vary throughout the year), issue a voucher so you can rebook once you have dates organised (valid for 1 year) or issue a refund. Please note a refund can only be issued when our properties have been forced to close by the government.
If you are unable to travel to our properties due to COVID-19 restrictions and our properties are open, we can move your booking to a later date (prices vary throughout the year) or issue a voucher so you can rebook once you have dates organised (valid for 1 year). Please note a refund cannot be made if our properties are open.
If you test positive for COVID-19 and have to cancel your booking, we are happy to provide documentation for your travel insurance company. Please note a refund cannot be made if our properties are open. See section 4 for cancellation fees.
