Walking Tours

Inverness Dark Side Walking Tour – Walk in the footsteps of murderers, executioners, and malicious fairies on this after-dark Halloween tour of Inverness. Running on 29th to 31st October, this tour has limited availability so be sure to book early. Inverness Castle is 25 minutes away from Kiltarlity Lodges.

 

The Original St Andrews Witches Tour – A night-time walking tour of the Royal and Ancient Burgh of St Andrews. Shriek with fright and scream with laughter on this 70 minute tour leading you through some of Scotland’s most horrible and gruesome history. These tours run weekly on a Thursday & Friday. St Andrews is around 25 minutes from Balmeadowside and 16 minutes from Vicarsford.

 

A Trail of Tales at Glamis Castle – A family friendly event, step into a fairy tale this winter when enjoying a shimmering light show set across the garden trails at Glamis Castle. Light installations will glimmer and twinkle whilst telling the tales of witches, trolls and classic childhood stories. This event runs from October 29th to November 7th from 4pm-8.15pm each night and is around 15 minutes from Greenmyre Farm and 40 minutes from Drumfork Estate.

 

Drive-in Cinema

Drive-in Cinema at Atholl Estates Blair Castle – A spooktacular series of films will be on show from the 22nd – 24th of October at Blair Castle. Choose from early evening family movies or a later scary film to get you ready for Halloween! Blair Castle is around 40 minutes from Drumfork Estate and an hour from Rossie Ochil Estate.

 

Hot Tub Star Gazing

Relaxing in your private hot tub is great at any time however, on a clear, cool night we highly recommend sinking in to your hot tub with a glass of fizz and taking in the dark skies!

 

Dark Skies Scotland have a handy guide you can use with tips on stargazing for every season.

 

If you are staying at Conifer Lodges, you may want to drive to Kirroughtree Dark Sky Park for uninterrupted dark skies and then head back to your hot tub to warm up!
