Gold can be found in many areas of Scotland and particularly in the Lowther Hills around Wanlockhead and Leadhills where gold panning has been popular for centuries.
Visitors get the chance to pan for gold in tanks outside the Lead Mining Museum in Wanlockhead Village. Each sessions lasts approximately 20 minutes and if you follow the gold panners instructions you will definitely find a few flakes of REAL gold to take home with you, along with a certificate to confirm that you found real gold in Scotland's Highest Village.
Wobbly Water Park
Bounce, slide, jump and swim! There's up to six inflatables on the Loch at Galloway Activity Centre... which one will be your favourite? Their experienced instructors will guide you around the different obstacles and keep you safe while you experience the full body workout that is the Wobbly Water Park!
From tractors to teapots, pop along to Mossyard Farm Pottery and have some fun painting pottery. You can take away on the day if you acrylic paints, or if you are staying with us for longer your masterpiece can be glazed and fired.

The Cocoa Bean Company run chocolate workshops daily for 2 to 18 year olds. Decorate chocolate slabs, marshmallow treats and shaky shape animals, then take them home to enjoy!
